Okay, you've been sufficiently warned. You might not understand a word. Because I don't really know what I'm talking about just yet. #reasons I worry I'll go insane
So I've been trying to figure out how NF's and Ing's worlds collide. At first, I was going to have Ichabod accidentally create a teleporter between the worlds, but then that sounds too much like the opening prologue of Cassandra Clare's City of Ashes. And then I thought maybe they were exploring by ship and fell into the other world, but then that feels too much like Pirate's of the Caribbean.
So now, I'm trying to think of all the possible ways one can fall into new worlds:
- A closet (Wait... I don't wanna go to Narnia!)
- A rabbit hole (Crap! I don't want to be mad either...)
- A tornado (Ooops... There's no place like home, guys, okay?)
- A pendent from a dead guy's neck (Ugh. John Carter is an AWFUL movie.)
- Dreams (Okay, not helpful at all. I want them to be physically present! Not to mention: Stravaganza Series. Doesn't anyone else get the feeling it was easier to be original before there were so many books? Haha. Stravaganza, it's so close to Extravaganza. Goodness, I think I need sleep.)
- Space Ships (That reminds me of Mars is Heaven! RIP Ray Bradbury.)
- Time Travel (I suppose it could be possible that Ing's world existed before or after our world in the same place on the same planet... That's kinda cool... But time travel is SO annoying.)
- Through a hat (Ugh. Original ideas, Sarah! Original! Stop thinking about the Mad Hatter!)
This is going splendidly... Mostly I think it has to be a) an object, b) an opening of some kind, c) a natural phenomenon, or d) a miraculous technological invention.
More on this later... Maybe?
Also, Do the soldiers get to send mail back?
Does Ingrid make it out of jail soon enough to go to XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX?
Does coffee actually exist in Ing's world or am I just so addicted to it that I include it anyway?
Are there moose in Ing's world? I think Aria would be very disappointed if there were no moose...
What sort of sports do you suppose they play in Ing's world? I hate sports.
Do Liam have a best friend? I feel like he doesn't and this makes me very sad.
Do you think people will ship NF and Soldier too much?
I wish I could write about NF and Ingrid falling in love but that's illegal!
